Ruffino is by the Hanoverian stallion Romanic Star, out of an imported Brazilian mare, C.S. Jade by Caompari Jr.
Ruffino was born on March 8, 2012. He was a big foal and stood over 16 hands as a two year old. Now that he is five, he is a little over 17 hands. He is a skinny youth but now he is putting on weight and muscle. Ruffy is competing in the 5 year old young jumper division at 120 cm and he has been very successful in the North American Young Jumper Development Program Division.
